Last time we talked about one of the transportations to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), the Airport Express. This time, we will introduce the other transportations, bus and taxi.
Another way to get to HKIA is by bus, which is relatively inexpensive. There are many public bus routes, taking us to most parts of Hong Kong. Depending on where you go from to the HKIA, the fare varies from HK$10 to HK$50. For details, you may visit http://www.nwstbus.com.hk/routes/airport-bus/route/index.aspx?intLangID=1 and http://www.lwb.hk/en/routeintroduction.html#airbus.
Taxis offer a flexible and fast way to go to HKIA. However, the fare would be relatively more expensive. If you go to HKIA from Hong Kong Island, the fare would be approximately HK$280-350. If you go to HKIA from Kowloon, the fare would be around HK$220-280. If you go to HKIA from New Territories, the fare would be around HK$200-350. Note that when you take a taxi, the baggage charge may be levied on each piece of baggage you carried. For the details of the approximate fare from each place, you may visit http://www.hongkongairport.com/eng/transport/to-from-airport/taxi.html.
