Choose a window seat or aisle seat
If you are sitting on a window seat, then look out of the window and focus on the clouds or stars, which will make you a bit more relaxed.
If you are sitting on an aisle seat, it allows you to move around your legs and have a bit more room. Also, you will be able to go to the toilet easier.
Plan on your vacation when you are on the plane
When you cannot sleep, it is great to use that time to plan on your vacation. You could bring alone your travel books and start looking at where you want to go when you arrive.
Play games with your friends
If you are travelling with your friends, then it will be a great time to play board game or card game with them. In most flight, you can always ask for the playing cards. You could also bring along the handy travel board game so you can play during the flight.
Some flights offer in flight entertainment, which allows you to watch movie from the monitor in front of you. If it does not offer in-flight entertainment, you can always bring your laptop with you and watch from there. It will make the time pass faster.
